Whether you are a WatchKeeper in AWNewbie or a world official for any other tourist-enabled world, this page will contain information on the features and commands you can use with the Tourist Guardian Angel bot. I strongly recommend reading the GuardBot pages for citizens and tourists so you can familiarize yourself with what commands are available to them.
If you have any questions you may telegram me (Ryan) or Andras at anytime and we will be glad to help you.
WatchKeepers: Any guidelines related to the usage of commands or features are posted in the WatchKeeper guidelines. It is your job to know what those guidelines are.
Citizen Commands (All citizens including bot caretakers)
Tourist Commands (Accessible to tourists only, but you should be familiar with these)
To use these commands, simply whisper them to the bot. You must include the colon with all commands except help.
help
This command will list all of the caretaker commands for you.
helpcit:
Helpcit: will list the citizen help.
helpt:
Helpt: will list the tourist help.
say:
Using this command you can have the bot you are whispering to say something. There may be several actual bots in a world each monitoring a piece of the world. This will have only one of those bots say something. E.g.: say:hi will have the bot say hi.
broadcast:
Using this command will have ALL bots in the world say something outloud.
version:
This command will give you the version number. It can be used to compare with the latest version out or with this page.
onduty:
This feature was requested for AWNewbie. This will switch a WK "on duty" for means of tracking how much time was spent watching the world. This command will allow tourists to "summon" you in case of a problem. It will also update any duty signs configured with the bot. Unless you wish to set a quota for how long world officials have to be in watching the world, this feature won't be of too much use to you.
offduty:
This command will switch a WK "off duty."
dutystate: or duty:
This will tell you how many hours you have been marked as "on duty." It will also tell you if you are currently marked as on duty or not.
report:
The report command is very important and has many different parameters for it, so I have listed in this in a seperate section.
eject:name
This will eject a person, citizen or tourist, for 5 minutes.
visitors:
This command will simply list everyone who is in the world.
bots:
This command will list all bots in world.
listonduty:
This corresponds to the on duty command. It will list the names of everyone currently marked as "on duty".
cit_name:citizennumber
This command will give you the citizen name of a citizen. For instance, cit_name:323279 would inform you that Ryan is citizen #323279.
name_cit:citizenname
This command will give you the the citizen number of a citizen. For instance, name_cit:Ryan would inform you that Ryan's citizen number is 323279.
resetpassword:"name"
This will reset the password and e-mail address registered for a particular tourist name. This frees up the name for reregistration by someone else.
getpassword:"name"
This will report the password of a tourist. This is useful in case a tourist forgot his/her password.
sendpassword:"name"
This will give you the password and send the password to you as well. I recommend using this instead of getpassword.
The report command will allow you to choose what events in the world are reported to you. The parameters are set by using report: followed by the parameter. You can use help:report to get a list of these report parameters inworld.
enter
This will report anyone entering or leaving the world. This may add up to lots of messages, so you may or may not want to enable this parameter.
picture, sound, url, corona
These parameters will report when pictures, sounds, links, or coronas are made in the world. These parameters may pile up lots of messages, so it depends on the circumstances when you want them on.
delete
This will report users deleting other users objects. If the bot controller has deletion protection on, this will tell you attempted deletes, as the bot will simply rebuild any deleted objects.
ipwatch
This will alert you to the entry of anyone on the IP Watch list.
domain
This will tell you the IP address and the hostname (also known as domain) of a user. A domain is an easier way to keep track and identify people in the world.
details
This will print additional details about a user, such as what privileges they are on, browser version, etc.
build
This will report anyone who is building in excess of normal building. This may identify someone who is spamming the world with unwanted objects, etc. If the bot controller has it enabled, a builder will be logged off for building excessively.
erase
This will report anyone who is deleting in excess of normal building. The person may or may not be deleting their own objects. If deleting protection is enabled, objects will be rebuilt however excessive deleting may slow the bot down. If the bot controller has it enabled, a deleter will be logged off for deleting excessively.
namechanger
This will notify you if someone changes names yet retains the same IP address. This person has changed names, and it may be apart of harassment, etc. that is ongoing. It is helpful to know when people change their names so you can keep track of who is who.
clickowner
This is a nifty option that, when enabled, will let you left-click on an object to see the owner of the object. If someone is building inappropriate signs, objects, pictures, etc. and you want to know the owner all you have to do is left click to see.
These commands will help you manage IP addresses. IP addresses are equivilent to a house address, except in this case it is the address for a particular machine or group of machines (LANs or Local Area Networks). What you need to know is that this number will help you identify a particular person again in the future. IP addresses do change frequently especially on dial up connections however IP addresses usually stay within a range which is reserved by a computer user's ISP (Internet Service Provider). IP addresses are also a means in which a person is ejected from a world. These commands will help you retrieve IP addresses and place IP addresses on a watch list (useful if that particular person has been causing problems). You can get these commands inworld by using the help:ip command.
ipname:name
This command will print the IP address of a citizen or tourist to you. If you are looking for a tourist's IP, remember that you must include the quotation marks around the tourist's name. (e.g. "Ryan").
ipcitnum:
This will give you an IP address if you put in a citnumber. The citnumber has to be in the bot's database (meaning that the citizen must have entered the world).
addipwatch:subnet#mask
This will add an IP range to a watch list. Any bot caretaker who has enabled the IP Watch report feature will be notified if anyone with an IP address on the list enters the world. E.g.: addipwatch:0.0.0.0#255.255.255.255
deleteipwatch:subnet
This will remove an IP range from the watch list. E.g.: deleteipwatch:0.0.0.0#255.255.255.255
listipwatch:subnet#mask
This will list the IP ranges that are on the IP Watch list.
