Notice As of November 2006, AWUniversity will no longer be in service as an organization or world. Citizens, however, will be able to learn advanced methods of building within AWSchool world. The ActiveWorlds University was founded on July 11, 1998 as an instructional world for ActiveWorlds users. Since then, it has expanded and now offers various new courses for programs used within ActiveWorlds along with AWUniversity's previous courses of Advanced Building, AW and RWX Technology, Graphic Arts and Community Building. AWUniversity charges no fees for it's various classes and is now a tourist-friendly world, with courses open to all tourists who wish to learn more about the program. AWUniversity was remodelled and reopened on July 22, 2004 to correspond with the new browser versions. The world is now fully up to date and offers various brand-new courses, such as TrueSpace and WorldRunning.  In November of 2006, AWUniversity (along with AWNewbie) was closed down as a group plan to unify all learning oriented worlds into a single world. AWSchool was the choice world for this plan. Now, both citizens and tourists can learn how to use the browser, as well as build with the newly added features of ActiveWorlds 4.1, within a single world. |
